I am tring to connect a mitel 3300 via an embedded trunk to a Bcm 50 via an analogue port on the Bcm, the systems are next to each other so we are just connecting the two together with an RJ11 to RJ11 cable.
I have made the trunk a DTS on the Mitel and programmed a key on an IP phone with the trunk number and as a key system, when you try and press the button on the ip phone you just get busy and the trunk number comes up on the screen, i have set the trunk up as loop.anyone have any ideas thanks.

What happens if you loop back an analog trunk on the Mitel to the same Trunk Port?

If you still get an error, then you have issues with your programming.

Should be able to connect an analog port from a PBX, in your case a BCM to a trunk on the 3300. What happens when you call the BCM extension? Does the trunk ring.

I think kwbMitel means a anlog port on the 3300 to the analgo trunk port on the 3300. Pretty minimal programming on a 3300 for trunks so have you tried leaving it as a normal trunk and access via the trunk access code before you make it a DTS?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks Loopylou - Yes, I meant analog port on 3300 to same analog trunk.
