I am using crystal reports 8.0 and I am trying to create a formula. I opened up Field Explorer and right clicked on 'Formula Fields' and selected new. In the formula Editor, the Report Fields are displayed and the Query. But the Query is missing 3 fields that I have placed on my report. Does anyone know why 3 fields might be missing when I go into the Field Editor, but show in in the Field Explorer? I can create a formula based on the fields that do show up, so I know that works.
Thanks

I forgot to mention that the fields that are missing are memo fields. I would like to concatenate two memo fields together separated by a carriage return can this be done?

If I am not mistaken, you cannot have memo fields over 256 characters in a formula. As far as the carriage return between two memofields, just create another section and insert the 2nd memo in it.

Format the memo fields as "Can Grow"

Hi wichitakid,
Thanks for the info, I can't create another section as the formatting is thrown out of whack. I might have to break the memo field up into more than one column through my sql statement and play with it that way.
Thanks again for the advice,
