Trying to build an expression & can't find field error comes up

I'm trying to build an expression to work out the difference between 2 fields AFCost and SfreightValue but everytime i try to save it comes up with could not find field AFCost

Current expression reads =["AFCost"]-["SfreightValue"]

Please help
 
What about this ?
=[AFCost]-[SfreightValue]

I'm still getting the error that it does not recognise the field.
 
Have you tried to follow the expression builder ?

What does the error message say exactly

Where are you doing this (ie in a control, in the query builder...etc)

Is there in fact a field called [AFCost]?
