We have heavily used style sheets on our web sites but have noticed that the INCREASE FONT and DECREASE FONT in Netscape seems to override any style sheet size settings. Is there a way to get around this so the font display will not be adjusted?

Doing this is one of the most annoying things that a webdesigner can do. Actually, you can do nothing about it.
This feature was developed especially for the purpose that the user can chose how the text should look like when he views your page.

If you want your visitor to read and understand the information you represent, let him view it the way he wants.
Also, don't forget about people with disabilities or sight problems.

I agree 100% with you about letting the user have the viewing decision. Unfortunately my superiors do not feel that way and prefer looks over function I guess. But at least now I have supporting comments to my arguments.

Thanks!

Using "px" as your font size should preclude people using increase/decrease font size. The accessibility feature in IE would still allow visually impaired users to choose a size to suit. --
