Hi All,

I am trying to do the following:
Add a Sybase server as linked server in MS SQL Enterprise Manager.
Query the Sybase database using MS SQL Query Analyzer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers!

The basics are install the Sybase drives on the SQL Server. Then setup the linked server using the Sybase drivers. That should be all there is.

Well Mr. Denny ... the steps are really not that easy. I am currently trying to establish a linked server connection to a Sybase DB and it is killin' me.

I have created hundreds of linked server before but I must say this is my first Sybase attempt. All the other LS have been quite straight forward.

Anyhow ... Limster ... here is a link I am just now getting into. Maybe we can find the answers together.

What exactly are you running up against?

Thanks

J. Kusch
