Trying to add Grouped Subreports

Hi all,
I have a report that has a couple of groups in the main report. Within the second group, I have some subreports. Everything has worked nicely until this point. Now I need to do totals of each grouping of the subreports. I got the shared variable thing happening, but can't use the value to do a total for the group or at least I haven't figured out how to do it. If anyone has a non stored procedure solution, I would like to hear it. I'm about to pull my dread locks out.
