Try to combine both assembly and assembly in configuration file

Dear All,
First I have configured my web.config file well with all the namespaces. But when I am trying to add the assembly defintion is says Unrecognized element 'assemblies'.
Below is my web.config file.

<assemblies> should be part of <system.web>, not <pages> as you have done.

Sorry, my mistake, I meant it should be part of <compilation> which is part of <system.web>.

Eg:
