Trx date for voucher

Clerk keyed trx date for voucher 1/8/2014 instead of 2015. The post date was in 2015. The check has already been cut. Can I go into the table and change the date in SQL instead of voiding the check, doing a cancellation voucher, re-entering as a manual check with the same check #. OR will that cause another set of issues??

You could change it in SQL - but I wouldn't. Editing the raw data should always be a last resort.

Instead, I'd unmatch the payment from the voucher, then create a voucher in AP dated 2015 and a credit memo in AP dated 2014. Then match the new 2015 voucher to the existing 2015 payment and the existing 2014 voucher to the new 2014 credit memo.

The journal entry for the voucher will remain in 2014 instead 2015. You don't want that. Do like Peter suggested. If you are uncomfortable doing this yourself ask your reseller or Macola consultant to help. This is a 5 minute fix and should not be a big deal.
