I have some strange issues on Novell 6.0 sp2 LAN. This network was upgrades from 4.11 to 6 after that we began the have trustee and rights issues. A user can login in the morning with no problems and after a few hours they will lose the ability to see certain directories. These directory rights are provides by groups. By going in and looking at the group we will sometimes see the user is no longer in the security equal to section or possibly in that section bit not a member of. We can correct this and possibly later in the same day or the next day this occurs again. Another new issue is the we have users limited to 1 session, many times a user will login in the morning and get a to many concurrent login message, and even after searching the entire tree and no finding another session the only fix is to bump the logins up to 2. Anyone have any ideas

When doing a migration or in-place upgrade, Novell recommends a couple of things:
1) Run DSREPAIR/Unattended Full Repair at the server console
2) Run the backlink process, by entering the following commands at the server console:
SET DSTRACE=ON
SET DSTRACE=+BLINK
SET DSTRACE=*B
If you swithc to the Directory Service screen on the server, you can watch the objects as they are processed. Run these commands repeatedly until no more user or group objects appear on the backlinked list on the DS screen.
3) Run DSREPAIR until you do not receive any errors.
