Hi

We want to set up a trust between two Windows 2003 forests. Do we need WINS for that? One of the domains does not have WINS installed and relies only on DNS. And we would really like to keep it that way.

I do not know for sure if it is required, but I do know that you WILL need to be able to have name resolution for both domains on each PDC emulator. Just to be safe and to avoid WINS< I would suggest maybe putting in an lmhosts file entry for both domains on each of the PDC emulators. This should cover your bases.
