trust relationships working only in ONE way

hi all

following:

got 2 sites, A and B. site A had to be reinstalled by scratch. After the reinstall from A, i went to site B and removed the trustrelationship (no more existent) to the old 'A' site. Then I setup on 'A' site a TRUSTING DOMAIN, went to B site and setup the trust into TRUSTED DOMAIN (with a), works.... but the otherway around, so TRUSTING DOMAINS configured at B site, and then adding B to the TRUSTED DOMAIN at A site, fails: could not find domain controller for this domain.

Now what I'm a bit afraid of: did the B site retention the SID of the old 'A' and can't handle the new 'A' site?

here the short version: B strust A, but not the otherway around.... why.....?

Sounds like a name resolution issue. Can you ping the PDC in B from domian A, by name? You may need DNS Entries for domain B.
