I have 2 windows 2003 servers, both DC's, one in our company office in the UK, the other in our company office in Belgium , they are in 2 different domains, connection is via a 2Mg leased line . I have set up DNS forwarding between the 2 domains and can ping and tracert to any machine in either domain. I can also remote desktop to the server in Belgium from the UK and Belgium to the UK.
My problem is that I am now trying to setup a 2 way trust between the 2 domains. When I Validate the incoming trust in the UK it is fine, but when I Validate the incoming trust in Belgium, I get the following error:
"The account does not have administrative privileges on the domain. the error is The RPC server is unavailable. The trust cannot be validated"
To set up this trust I have created a user in both domains with the same name and password and is a member of the domain & enterprise admin’s.
I have set up many trusts over the years but they have all been in the UK with no problems.
Can anybody throw any light on this problem?
