Currently there are two domains in my organization (one in the usa, and one in europe). Unfortunately, we are using similar naming conventions.
US Domain = us.abc (Windows 2008)
Europe Domain = eu.abc (Windows 2003)
We've set up an external trust between the domains(which I am not sure is correct). SO, CAN we set up a forest trust between the domains since they are of different functional levels?
The second question is that MY account in domain "us.abc" has been granted rights in "eu.abc" for domain administration(but not actually a member of the domain admin group, in eu.abc). The challenge that I have, is that when I connect to eu.abc with ADUC, and I open a group(in the eu.abc domain), I cannot change location to see MY domain "us.abc" to add in a user from MY domain to the Europe domain.
Thoughts / Suggestions?
