TRUNKS LOCKING ON MERLIN MAGIX 1

Can anyone let me know if there are any known issues on the Merlin Magix concerning Trunks locking? The service are POTS lines, usually 7 on two 408 cards, one used as a private line. I am aware of the TT/LS Disconnect setting, the grounding of the switch and possible issue on Telco end. Any other issues to be shared would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks ahead of time..

when you say they are "locking", what do you mean? Are they dropping calls? or Are they receiving "dead lines" when trying to dial out? Is it happening on both inbound and outbound calls?

Yes, both on inbound and outbound calls. Actually, failing to disconnect upon completion of call would probably have been a better definition of the issue..Ideas??

Sounds like a CO issue to me.

I would place a call to TRUNK A from TRUNK B.

Then put TRUNK A on hold.

Hang up TRUNK B and see how long (or if) it disconnects.

If it never disconnects, talk to the CO people.

One thing to check, other than LS DISC - Reliable - yes is SHORT OR LONG HOLD Disconnect.
