Trunking 4108s with Stacking Kits

Can anyone confirm 100% that I can use 2, 3 or 4 x J4116A stacking kits to provide a 2, 3 or 4 Gig trunk (HP trunking, FEC or LAPC, who cares?) between two 4108s. The 4108s are one above the other in the same cabinet so the little blue cable(s) should reach.

I just tried it betwixt 2 x 4108s with 2 x J4116A kits and it worked just fine. Maybe it doesn't with early S/W releases? Mine are on G.07.50.
