Helping a friend trunk a couple of 2910al switches together via fiber. Extremely familiar with Multilink trunking on Nortel/Avaya but first time with HP Procurve. Have read through the docs but unsure what the best means for setting up trunking between two 2910al switches with multiple fiber links for redundancy.

I want to have tagged VLANs on these trunks, but best to use dynamic or static LACP?

If you configure nothing, by default it will setup a "Trunk" - in Procurve-speak this is a link aggregation.

As far as VLANs go, in Procurve-speak, this is "Tagging" - add whatever VLANs you need as "Tagged" VLANs to the interfaces. I don't know that dynamic link-aggregation "Trunks" are particularly faithful to your switchport dot1q config, so I would create these manual "Trunks" and then define the VLANs on the "Trunk" interface.
