Want to be able to press a selector code that will basically dial another number.

I figure I could set the selector code to transfer to an extension directly which is forwarded to this external number. I'd like to know of a better way.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

If you have mlx sets, I would set up a 'phantom' on an adjunct number, forward the adjunct number, and set the selector to transfer to the adjunct.

jgideon - Yes they are MLX sets. An adjunct number - is this what I see defaulted to 7300 and up? How do I set this adjunct number to forward unconditionally to an external number? With a physical phone, I can setup a button that when enabled forwards to an external number, but an adjunct? I haven't dug into the manual yet, I'll have to research this tonight. Thanks much!

I can't take all the credit... I'd figured it out before, but someone else documented it very nicely:

Good luck!

A couple of thoughts... don't use an extension that has an MFM in it, as the adjuct number belongs to the MFM.

Hey thanks very much. I'll be able to try this out on Monday.
