just wondering if anyone has seen this.......

have a customer that says people are calling in and the voicemail answers all the calls. they say people are somehow.....someway.....calling in.....voicemail answers.....the person dial back out to canada or somewhere overseas.......

anyways.....if someone has had this happen, i would love to know how you fixed it.
 
Toll Fraud by hackers.

Change your passwords to 6 to 8 digits and DO NOT USE 123456 etc like somebody obviousness did and also deny external transfer to mailboxes that do not require it.

You can do a report to find culprit mailbox if was don within last 6 or 7 days.

Disable outbound transfer in all class of services

This is accomplished by setting up the IP address in call pilot to disable
 
You can do that through the programming set as well however the client needs to decide if they want it disabled.
It was activated to call their cell phone then you would not want to disable it, just change it to a secure password.

Also put LD set restriction on all the VM ports. If someone has a cell phone that is LD I suppose you could put in an exception for that one number .
 
Also click off any network capability, go through the help section off the on line access and it will tell you where possible fraud may occur. Had a client $45K of LD
