Make sure link at the CO is allowed, and link isn't restricted on the set.. Don't dial it too fast. I sometimes have to insert a pause after the first link. I've also found that the Telco will tell me the service is on the line when it really isn't. If it doesn't work manually the Telco has messed up.
Once had a customer where it took three months to get the Telco ot acually get it working... buggers would never call me back with a repair completion notice.
if the 'link' works as expected (call in progress, link, hear dialtone, dial 2nd call, link puts everybody together), then all you have to do is 'rls' and hangup. If the two other parties stay connected, then call transfer on the trunk is active... if they get disconnected, then you've only got CO based '3 way calling'.
CO Based 3-way calling would requrire the one trunk on the system to be kept 'up'. Once the norstar disconnects, both outside parties would be disconnected
i disconnect from call and i lose the transfer..i tried call, link, call, link, disconnect and we all disconnect..it should leave the 2 up on a transfer but doesnt..i tried call,link,call,disconnect...i tried call, link, call, link ,link...lost 2nd caller
Still sounds to me like you've got 3way instead of transfer. (since the two outside are disconnected when you hang up). I agree with the 'telco issue' assesment. Good luck!
do feature * 0 and check to see if its a trasfer key or conferance key or link key. Feature * 3, hit button, then feature 71 for link key. Hope this helps.
LOL!! Hey coworker! From reading your other posts I realized who you are! It sure is a small world. I'll give you a hint. We try to help out "Naughty Techs" when they get in trouble! ROTFL!!
