Hello,

We have an answering service that we send calls to at night. We just switched to a new one that requires caller id in order to work. Right now we set the operation extension to remote forward to the answering service, which works great. Only problem is there is no caller id being sent, anyone know how to enable the caller id?

All other caller ID is base number + extension, and that works just fine. It's only when the call is remote forwarded that the caller id does not work.

Thanks,
Andy

Is caller id being sent on any call made over your PRI?

You can tell the PRI Which number to send, on a per trunk basis.

In your case, you would want to send the MAIN LISTED NUMBER.

Yes caller ID is being sent properly in every other case, except when doing a remote forward.

Are you using some type of CENTREX forward?

Or are you using Feature 33?

Standard feature 33. Had avaya engineers in the system for 2 hours, couldn't figure it out. They said it's not saposed to send out caller id info on a trunk to trunk transfer. Go figure.

Engineer? -OR- Up front Person?

Also, Do you have any Regular POTS LINES in the system?

Perhaps if there is a GLYTCH on Trunk To trunk with PRI, you could go out on a POTS that has the right ID.

It's just a thought....
