Hello all.
Facing a serious issue.we have two switches, the avaya cs1000M(81c) and cs1000e(11c) connected through PRI. There is a digital extension created in 11c,which connects to the cellular network through 81c. All the outer networks are only accessible through 81c only.when we dial a cellphone network from this digital extension and create a 3 party conference ,all the process is done successfully BUT when the digital extension leaves the conference, the call completely drops between the other 2 callers also....plz guide

Could be a couple of things but first print your CDB NET_DATA and look at EXTT. If it is NO then change to YES.

The person on digital phone is an operator. He can't remain for long time in a conference call, so he has to drop his line when the other two persons are connected .but as he drops his phone, the conference between the other two doesn't remains continue. It also disconnect between the two.

Right out of the books

At least one party in the conference must be a telephone on the local system for the duration of
the conference call.

Is there can be a possibility that we are missing a required package which is the season for this issue..?

What you are trying to do should be possible with the Flexible Trunk-to-Trunk settings you have as long as all the trunks have answer and disconnect supervision. This is what the NTPs call an "unsupervised conference". The phone that set up the conference can drop out and the trunks stay connected. This applies to a simple trunk-to-trunk conference on one switch.

But, if I understand correctly, the 11c does not have any trunks of its own except the PRI to the 81c. So a call comes in on a trunk to the 81c then to the 11c on another trunk. The 11c phone conferences in a trunk back to the 81c and out to the cell network on another trunk.
So there are 4 trunks involved in the call. Although I don't see anything saying it won't work it might be doubtful.

Are all the trunk routes on the 81c also PRI routes? In other words, is there a trunk involved anywhere in the conference that doesn't have answer and disconnect supervision? That could be an analog trunk route or a non-PRI digital route.

You could also check the NCOS and TGAR of all the trunks involved to make sure that they would be allowed to make the call if there was no phone setting it up. Maybe other access restrictions are coming into play because there are so many trunks involved.

I don't know how the conference is going to stay up when the originator hangs up the phone

KCFLHRC - it does work. Check the Feature Guide - Flexible Trunk to Trunk Connections.

We have another switch 61c which has the same configuration with 81c...but the conference call stays connected if the originator is on 61c.the issue is only with 11c. I have compared everything of 61c to that of 11c but the problem does not disappear.this clearly shows that there is no issue on the 81c side.

Thank you STANLEYSTEAMER and KCFLHRC for your replies...the issue is solved by changing NASA prompt to YES in the D-channel configuration. Everything is good now.
