Is there a Feature Code to select a particular trunk member or a trunk group on the Hipath 4000 / Hicom 300 / Openscape 4000?
On Avaya (Red) I can dial an trunk access code to select a trunk group.
On an ISDX I can use an access code for a main group or ##8 to select an individual trunk.

I've had a look on the system and I can see a couple of entries under DIS-RICHT:CD but they begin AA, so I don't think I am looking in the right place.
I'm must be missing something obvious.

Hi,
On the iSDX/Realitis each trunk has an actual trunk number so you can go ##8001 for trunk 1 and so on.
On the HiPath it is different (of course...)
It is possible to assign Direct Trunk Select codes and to pick up trunks selectively however you have to do the ##8 then put in the Port Equipment Number (PEN) which makes it a bit unwieldy.
Normally I would assign a code to each trunk group and use that instead.
I had some information on CTLS (Controlled Trunk and Line Selection) but cannot find it now...
You put CTLS into the COT (Controlled Trunk and Line Selection Allowed)
Or CTLN (Controlled Trunk and Line Selection not allowed)
Then ADD-WABE:##8,,,CTLS,N;

After that it is ##8 LTU LTG BOARD CIRCUIT

If I find any more I will post it later

DIS-WABE:GEN,;

Will display all the dial codes provisioned in the system. I don't see anything in mine for direct trunk access, but there may be codes that are not provisioned in the system that are still available. If your system got set up like my system (4000 V7 - I don't think lower versions have it) and you hit your assistant at 10.1.10.123 then you may find the "portal" one step below that at 10.1.10.122. (I just made up the overall IP - the point is mine is one lower). If you hit the portal IP with https:// and it comes up you should be able to login with the same login and password you use for assistant. Once in there you will find a tab called Documentation. In there you will find the AMO manual (no, it won't let me download it) and if you look up all the possible feature codes you can enter into WABE you might see something. Normally once you have the code you will notice there is a device number associated with each port. So if, for example, you say DIS-SDSU:ALL, (there is more) then choose TYPE as STNO and PER3 for the detail level, then enter one of your phones, besides the extension number and PEN number and a bunch of other stuff you should see a number called "Line" on the left side. The same goes if you list out your trunks. This would be the number you use with the feature code to access that specific trunk. In my example the system LINE for this phone is "2806". That is not the extension number, which comes lower.

DIS-SDSU:ALL,,STNO,PER3,2758;
H500: AMO SDSU STARTED

In the Hicom 300 you can use DIS-DPLN to get all the codes, and I know mine always had a direct trunk access code in there. You would also use SDSU to see what number to use to access that line.

You have to add all the WABE codes in HiPath and actually you SHOULD add all the WABE codes because if they are missing then some features at phones may not work.
Each version would have different requirements.
So for example if you did not add MBON then a lamp on code from a voice mail or similar would not light up the phone.
Similarly if CTLS is not added then Controlled Trunk and Line Selection would not work because your code ##8 would just return an unknown.
An easy way to add them all is to use Comwin - logon
Do 'macro/retrieve system variant' so as Comwin knows what version you have.
Then decide on an unused code like **9 or similar
The codes may not mean anything, for example ADND (Activate Do Not Disturb), you may have it deactivated in FEASU, however if you decide later to activate it it will not work for end users because the display phone will not be able to show you the feature because the code is missing.
You can add in a 'favourite' code later on as well/in parallel so in the example of ADND you could add *8 but **9015 would also work but of course you would give the *8 out to end users as it is easier to remember.

After you do a comwin edit and decide on a lead code like **9 add in each DAR like the example below:

Sorry I tried to post earlier but it disappeared...

I found the CTLS code was setup as *#88 in the dialplan and I added CTLS into the COS for a handset beside my desk.
I've checked at least one of the trunk (groups) has CTLS in the relevant COT.
However, if I press any digit after *#88 I get "Not Possible". It also generates an alarm (sorry can't find the error code as I'm at home now).

CTLS info:

- Add dialable code to AMO WABE, DAR=CTLS such as "##8" - the original ROLM Direct Trunk Select code

- Add "CTLS" to user's COS

- Add "CTLS" to trunk's COT

- Ensure that AMO CTIME--> TYPESWU=CP2 --> parameters "CTLS1" and "CTLS2" = 20

What to dial:

- Assuming that dialable code is ##8 and the trunk's PEN is 1-1-103-3, you dial:

##8# 1 01 103 03 * then dial external digits - do not dial a trunk access code - end with #

Hints: the LTU requires two digits; the SLOT requires three digits; the channel requires two digits; the "*" indicates that you are going to place an external call; the final "#" represents the END of dialing.

Another example:

If PEN is 1-17-10-1, and you want to dial local telephone number 212-555-1234, then dial:

##8# 1 17 010 01 * 212 555 1234 #

You may or may not hear actual dial-tone on the trunk, depending upon what type of trunk you are accessing. CTLS used to work with Cornet channels (provides no dialtone).

Good Luck!
