Hello all,

I've got my Vlan working in my cisco lab but i noticed something weird when i was watching video on a host.

The trunk port on the cisco 2524 switch was blinking Green/Amber while I was watching the video...It does not blink amber any other time

I did an interface debug on the switch and didnt find anything. When I did a debug on the router I got

%AMDP2_FE-4-BABBLE: FastEthernet0/0 transmit problem

this error poped up like 50 times in a few seconds..All ports on everything are in full duplex 100
Any Ideas?

THanks for the help

hard coded 100/full or negotiated at 100/full? what is the utilization on the port while the video is on?

sh int fa0/1 or whatever and look at:
MTU 1500 bytes, BW 100000 Kbit, DLY 10 usec,
reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255

the txload and rxload, also look for dropped packets

4428387 packets input, 2737200897 bytes, 0 no buffer
Received 5907 broadcasts (0 multicasts)
90 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles
176 input errors, 86 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored
0 input packets with dribble condition detected
8514487 packets output, 4063201088 bytes, 0 underruns
0 output errors, 0 collisions, 0 interface resets
0 babbles, 0 late collision, 0 deferred
0 lost carrier, 0 no carrier
0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

Thanks Dallas...

Although Something must be wrong. See, this is the reason they say you need parctice on real equipment :p

North...
I set the duplex settings on both devices. But when I checked the Utilization on the switch I noticed the lights went green all the way to the end at port 17 then would all go amber except port 1...back and forth

Maybe you can post a show run for those two interfaces and a show interface . Are you seeing any errors on either end ?
