Can somebody verify this for me? I have an MICS and want to expand it. From what I've read, for this system I would need a FIBER Expansion Cartridge and 12X0 FIBER Trunk Module and can't use COPPER?
depends on software release how big it will go but you could get a 2 port fiber card and save a buck or two and yes you would need a fiber trunk module plus line cards for that expansion

For a short time when the MICS R1T1 Cabinet first came out, there was a copper expansion card for the MICS. Have never seen one but if you can find one second hand you're in.
Right. I've installed one of these and it worked OK. Problem is it covers both slots 1 & 2, so you can't add a T1 card later as there would be no way to add the services card. Stick with fiber if there's any chance of ever adding a T1 circuit.
I just noticed that I didn't specify that I have a MICS 0x32 and currently have two NT7B75 I have the one slot open but want to expand thus my questions.
Looking at the system and faq799-2156, my MCIS is showing a system version of SP:30nCG19 NAT where the nC is 'R1T1 Trilingual' in my case (I'm in Canada BTW).
Arr or anybody, does this mean that I can use the copper expansion card for an 8x24 MICS in this system?
No. A copper expansion that works in an 824 will NOT work in a MICS. As Arr stated there was a 6-port copper expansion card made specifically for the MICS. These are now quite rare and hard to find. You can find good prices on refurb fiber modules and still get a 1 year or better warranty.
