We have an S8300 R014 with a trunk group made up of three OPX lines from a nearby Definity PBX. These are analog loop start station lines from the Definity, and in the S8300 are built as a two way trunk group.
When a call comes in to the S8300 via this path, they often want to transfer the call back to a station in the Definity. If they use the regular transfer button, and select the same TG path back, the call goes through, but after the call the two trunks never disconnect and are hosed until the TG is busied and released. (This is problem # 1 - not sure if there even is a solution for this)...
To avoid locking up trunks that way, we enabled trunk flash to the TG, and added a flash button to the set. Now they can 'flash', hear new dial tone from Definity, enter extension # to transfer to and release. This works great, and of course is the right way to clear the trunks.
So, now my question is this: Is there any way to disable the ability to transfer using the (first) wrong way??
I set Disconnect Supervision IN - to No in an effort to disable trunk to trunk transfer on this TG. However, that also disabled the trunk-flash capability. (an interaction not mentioned in the feature admin manual... but it makes sense in a way...)
