trunk configuration on Catalyst 2908-XL

Hi all,

I have a problem configuring trunk on 2908-XL. Could you tell how to enable trunk, configure encapsulation?
I do not see the commands to specify this parametres.

May be I have to change IOS, currently it's used Version 11.2(8.2)SA6.

What commands are you using that is not working?

I think you should be able to use the commands "switchport mode trunk" and "switchport trunk encapsulation isl/dot1q"

you have to make sure that you have the speed and duplex set to 100 and full on both ends.it has to be 100mb or you can't trunk.make sure you do it on the interface you want to trunk. use show controller to see what encap you can use.you need same encap on each end.
