Can anybody be of assistance?

I have a column of entries of the format
DDU.ASX
ANC.ASX
YGT.ASX

I want to remove the .ASX so my column entries read
DDU
ANC
YGT

Can this be done in ACCESS?
I know I can use the left function in excel

Thank you

Yes, the Left function works in Access as well. But if you want to remove the last 4 characters, the Right function might be more appropriate.
