thread955-1309947
Hi
I have a problem similar to previous thread above. We have some users reporting issues where emails that they send are occasionally truncated part way through the Body of the message. This only shows up when sending to external email addresses, internal addresses are fine. It happens with & without attachments, emails in Plain Text & in HTML. I have tried using various different Character Sets [Automatic, Western-Windows, UTF-8], sending direct to the external address & in the BCC field.
I can reproduce the issue by sending long text emails to an internal & an external [gmail] account, the internal account recieves it fine, the gmail address gets most of the text but always cuts it off after 7,622 characters, 1,246 words.
This is a problem on multiple peoples computers, It has only been reported so far on Entourage 2008 on Mac [with the latest updates], connecting to Exchange 2003 server. This then goes out through a SMTP Connector to our Linux server acting as the Smart Host. I have checked the Message Headers on the emails and have not spotted anything obvious but I can provide examples if needed.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Rob
