Truncated attachments with Mac OS 10.4 / Notes 6.5.5

Two graphic design users are experiencing the same problem.

They send attachments on a daily basis, usually jpeg images. Trouble is, the recipients can't view or open them properly. The attachments have been truncated in the process.

They will not work on Windows systems OR Macs.

They're using AppleDouble under the MIME settings.

Anything else I should try?

We've had problems with Mac attachments in the past. One thing that's helped is turning off LZ1 compression (db properties, advanced tab)
