Truncated ANIs

Hi, does anyone know what could be the reason why some inbound calls come in with a truncated caller ID like: 1225555 or 2255555. We have been receiving this type of caller IDs which are coming in from the same account number. However, some of the other calls from this account have a normal caller ID like NPA+NXX+XXXX
Any help on this issue will be greatly appreciated.

These numbers are being send by the provider. Do you have special services from the provider where you can dial with less digits?

Thanks for your reply ewaaijenberg. I am not sure if we have special services. I will look into this with our carrier and let you know. Any other reason why this is?
