Hello all,
I am having a FIT trying to make a truely transparent image. What I have is a company logo(on a black background) and would like to remove just he logo. Then place the image on a wallpapered web background.Ive gotten as close as transparent with a skinny little line border around the outside. If I attempt to remove this border I end up with a white or grey background. If I change it back to transparent Im back where I started.Ive used Paint shop pro and Fireworks and am having no luck
Any Ideas?

The problem is that the GIF format does not support partial transparency and the antialiasing of your logo will most probably use that.
You can try to set your canvas color to something near the future background wallpaper's intermediate and then select "index transparency" (did not try it out) in Fireworks or in PSP just select the color in question as being transparent when exporting.

ive had that problem too. its the alpha transparency that macromedia wants you to use. i tried it and it didnt work for me.

ive heard that photoshop can do it, but i dont know. try the teamphotoshop.com discussion board. they can help with that.
