True DBGrid 6 acting up in Win XP

I wonder if anyone has come across an issue of using VB6 with True DBGrid version 6 running in XP? On some machines the data is not presented or not presented in full with vertical scroll bars missing. When there is data and one moves to the bottom, the scroll bars show up but the initial record is missing.

I have looked on the Component One site for hints but cannot find any reference to this issue.

By the way, it seems to be solved ny running the app in WIN 98 Mode but I'd rather not do this.

Any ideas, please let me know if you would, it's driving me crazy!
