Hi all,

I have a user who is reporting problems with his function keys on an IBM 7044-170 running AIX 4.3.3.0 ML11. He says that the function keys do not work after the box has been up a while, but if he reboots they work fine for a while and then become unusable. He is sharing his monitor and keyboard with his Windows desktop. He says that the function keys work fine in Windows and do not fail. It only happens when he's using the AIX box.
I've never had to troubleshoot keyboard issues before and don't know where to even start. Can anybody provide me with some advice on how to attack this issue? Thanks.

Monitor out of pixels, I'll need to go grab a box and fill'r up.

How is the monitor connected to both boxes, what type/brand is it?

I think I found the problem (luser didn't tell me) it's on a KVM. The KVM is drawing power and some keys just won't function after a while. I told help desk to hook him up with another keyboard and have him run 2 keyboards. Thanks for the reply.
