Hi,

Is it possible that trust relationship can block netlogon services on others servers.
My firm configuration is a primary nt domain with all services servers like exchange, ISA, ... and all agencies in the country got their own nt domain which are in relationship with the primary domain.
The link with all agencies is Frame Relay (WAN)
My problem is that when a agency don't function very well and in particular the PDC and at the same moment a user in this nt domain agency tries to connect to Exchange, it gives me impression that Exchange netlogon service don't accept others authentication.
Sorry if it's not enough detailed but i am french...
If anyone know this problem or have an issue
I will be very grateful
Thx

It seems that you are having name resolution problems. When having trust relationship the best thing is to have a lmhosts on each PDC that have the following

IP_Address NetBIOS_name #PRE #DOM:DC

So PDC1 should have the IP information for PDC2 and PDC2 should have the information of PDC1

Also, make sure that under the Network card\TCP/IP configuration you have the USE LMHOST checked

then, in both DCs, do:

nbtstat -R to reload the lmhosts cache

then

do nbtstat -c and check that the other PDC information is present. If it is not, you will have to reboot.

Hope this works,
