I have apache2 running on W2k server. When i use f.e. a euro sign it looks very bad in the browser.

What must i do to resolve this problem?

This is more a web design issue than an apache issue: forum215 and forum253.

To answer your question, you should check your encoding. You're probably using the iso-8859-1 character set (windows) - make sure you declare it on the web page.

digiben,

In addition to specifying the character set, it could just be that the euro symbol is ugly in the font you're using. You could try applying a different font to the entire page, or just to the characters that don't look right.

Thanks for your answers.

The problem was the default charset (UTF-8) in the httpd.conf I marked it and the problem was solved.
