Avaya installed a 909 coupler last week but when we terminate our recorder to the AUX port and activate MCT, the voice will port will not record voice. After listening to what was recorded, what I hear sounds like feedback/buzzing. Does anyone have any idea what might be missing in my provisioning?

I would double check the pinouts and the voltage.
On jack 3 pins 5 to 2 should be 48V DC. Positive or Negative doesn't matter.
Also Google 555-233-116, and look at Page 182.
I would assume your MCT will be coming out of pins 4 and 5 of jack 2, but you might want to look further in that manual.
Good luck.

The 909A is the direct current (DC) version of the coupler, and cabinet power
supplies -48 VDC power. The 909B is the alternating current (AC) version, and
power is supplied from a separate power supply (such as the KS-22911L2).

Confirm the proper orientation of the GRD and -48V leads in the
power cable. THE BLACK LEAD MUST BE CONNECTED TO SYSTEM GROUND.
THE YELLOW LEAD MUST BE CONNECTED TO -48Vdc. Make all connections
at the wall field before plugging cables into their appropriate
jack. DO NOT PLUG THE POWER CABLE INTO J1 OR J2. The power cable
modular plug is clearly smaller than the plugs on the other two
cables. CONFIRM the correct POLARITY of the power leads WITH A METER before plugging the power cable into the unit.

It can't guarantee that the unit will not be damaged if the power
cable is plugged into J1 or J2 or if someone punches down connections
at the wall field with the cables already plugged into the unit.
This will be the technician's responsibility.
