I am having trouble with parameters applied to a SQL command select statement. When I set them up they work fine but after saving the report a couple of times the window that allows you to change the parameter pops up but there is no box to enter changes into. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which version of Crystal? And are you doing something special with the parameters? I've done similar things without any problems.

I am using version 10. I am just inserting them into a where clause. When they stop working all I have to do is edit them and they start working for a few more saves. My work around was to make them read only.

I noticed (in this forum) that many people use a viewer. I think that would work too. Is that included with CR or is that an add-on?

Are you doing this in Visual Studio? And if you are, then you need to post this in the VB.Net forum.

I'm not sure if this will help, but try placing the parameters somewhere on the report, even if suppressed, and see if that helps. I noticed that parameters in a command are not shown as used in the report (green tickmark) when they are only referenced within the command, and I'm wondering whether "using" them would help in this case.

I use CR10 with commands, and have not had this problem, but then I generally need to report on the parameter selections being used, so incorporate them in the body of the report.

I did try that. The parameters are included in a text box and they do have the little check mark. I tried slapping them into the header just in case it did not like the text box. But it did not work.

Maybe it would help if you show the content of the command so we can see how the parameters are used.
