Trouble with Optivity doing daily MAC work on PBX

I am using Nortels Optivity to do all of my MAC work on the PBX. I have a 500 seat call center and we do alot of MAC work. Optivity tends to lock up, Ext detail reports take too long to process, rebooting regularly causes the switch to "init".Is this a RAM issue??? I have 256 on it now.
 
I was told when I got Optivity 9.X to get the beefiest machine possible. I have it on a COMPAQ dual 750MHZ with 512MB ram. It's still slow. (WIN2K)
