Hello all. I have a report that needs to be sorted by a different field than the group. In this instance, it is grouped by "AgentID", yet I want to sort by "Department" and "Name". Setting this in the sort and group field does not work, it still defaults to sort by "AgentID".
I would appreciate any help you can offer a very novice user with no institutional support whatsoever.

Zach:

I don't think you can do both. If you set a grouping (AgentID) that will supercede other sort orders.

As you have probably discovered you can sort by Department and/or Name within the group.

If I haven't understood your question let me know.

Thank you Larry. My problem was that I had AgentID in the first field of the sort box. Clicking and dragging it below the other sort options sovled the problem and allowed me to keep the grouping by AgentID.

Thanks for your reply!
