HELP! I've ventured into some uncharted territory, and I'm running into some problems. Here is my dillemma.
I've recently completed a six pack design for a local brewer, done completely in photoshop. I'm now in the process of designing the case box in illustrator. The problem is the background photo I used in the sixpack.
How can I bring this in to illustrator and convert it into a halftone screen so that the image is only one color??
Is this possible? I've never experimented with halftones.
Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Use only black (cmyk) Make your image a grayscale .tif from photoshop and use only different variations of gray (k) in illustrator. Just keep in mind 100%k = 100% the color you want - 50% of a light color is much lighter than 50%k). Even the most reluctant printer should be able to rasterize the file....

If you need to show your client a color comp. simulate the (Pantone) color in cmyk.
