Could someone please help me see what is going on and how to fix this problem?
My database was working fine then this is what I did:
I needed to add a new column to a table which contains a Foreign Key to another table with a primary key.
I used the PCC's edit table function, and deleted the FK from the child table. Pressed the save button.
Next I added the column that was required. I then press the save button. All is well at this point.
Next I went to add the FK back, and I am now getting an error message:
The record has a key field containing a duplicate value(Btrieve Error 5)
I'm not sure what this is talking about. What record? The Parent table and the Child table are both empty at this point.
What key? How can I find out?
Any help will be deeply appreciated.
