I am looking for some assistance in re to personal directories and system directories. I have never seen this before, plus I have never seen someone rely so heavily on their personal and system directories. Here is the situation. Person has 2 carrier maxed out Magix 2.0.9 with (5) 008/408 MLX cards and there are (2) 024 TDL cards in sl 10 and 11. I know the limitation of personal directories is 48, however, they are not using 48 pers directories. Maybe 10. They are switching MLX phones out to TDL sets. There are (3) sets (TDL) that can use the pers dir. Any of the other sets do not show the "show number, next page" at the bottom of the HOME screen. Now, it just gives the person error tone when they try to access their system directory through the display. There are about 100 system speed dial nubmers. Question: How can I get the system to recognize these for personal directories? There will probably be about 35 people with personal directories in use.

"Normal" Extensions can use AUTO DIALS (Speed Dials), 4424LD+ and MLX-20L can have a PERSONAL DIRECTORY.

Everyone can use the SYSTEM DIRECTORY (130 Entries)

Are you trying to use something other than 4424LD+ or MLX-20L for Personal Directory?

I know that. The Execs are getting the 4424LD sets along with their assistants. When you plug the set in, normally you receive the time and date and "show number next page" at the bottom of the LED screen. The show number next page is not appearing. Plus, when they press menu, directory, system they are getting an error tone not allowing them to use it.

Interesting, I think I would do a BOARD RENUMBER and see if that causes the system to recognize them.

There was an issue once, long ago in LEGEND, I think prior to R7 concerning Personal Directories, but I am positive that was straightened out a long time back.

It seems as if the system is just not seeing these sets as the big ones.

As I said, a Board Renum or a Power down and back up may wake it up.

Did you just swap out the smaller sets for the larger?

Thank you. Sorry for the delay in getting back. It was an issue that the system had maxed out the personal directories for MLX-20l/4424LD+ sets. WE had to disconnect unused MLX20L sets and reset it so it saw the connected MLX phones as opposed to the unused phones.
