I am trying to create a report (CR9) based on several dbf files. These files were created and are maintained by a CA Visual Objects application.

I've connected to these tables using all types of relevant drivers including DAO/Excel. In each case I get the full list of dbf files to choose from for my report. I can select all of the files successfully except 1. The following error comes up when I attempt to select this file...

External table is not in the expected format

This is the only table with an associated .fpt file which I believe is for memo fields. I'm thinking this may have something to do with problem?

What driver are you using to connect to the tables?

Not sure which driver is appropriate, but try using the Fox or the dBase ODBC drivers, and post what you tried.
