trouble with AGP slot

I just purchased a new EVGA graphics gard to install in the AGP slot on my motherboard. The motherboard is manufactured by HSINGtech. Even though I have enabled the slot in the BIOS, my monitor isn't receiving a signal from the newly installed card.

I realize this problem could have a host of causes. I'm interested in hearing what they are.

Always start by listing your machines FULL specification including software and recent fault history ie things you have recently done.
The maker is not enough info.

Just learned that the mobo won't accept 8x AGP cards.
