Hey all. I had a job of speeding up a database. A query in the database was taking over a minute to run because it was so complex. There was a lot of criteria for labels coming from our facility #990, and in the "or" of the criteria it did the same thing and looked for facility #964. By copying one row of the criteria into another query, it sped up the queries by an enormous amount. To get it all onto 1 report, I made 1 query a make table and the other an append query. Problem solved. Until they decided to use this database on more than 1 PC. Now the first person to open this report has the table locked so no one else can use it?

Any ideas would be helpful.

Seems you could play with a single UNION query.

Hope This Helps, PH.
