Hi,
We've recently added the first storage node to our network. It is a 6 tape DLT device that was attached to one of our client servers. Although we can see the client from the server and even back the client up, the client is not communicating with the DLT device. We cannot load tapes, label tapes or eject tapes. Any suggestions?? Hi there alexatntn,

Can you restore to the servers in question? I had a Win2000 server with two NICS and I could backup the client, but when the primary NIC address changed, I could still back it up but could no longer restore to it. So, I had to have the correct entried in the HOSTS file. That's what solved it for me. In the hosts file on the client, I pointed both the primary and secondary names / addresses to the secondary nic for the backup server and one entry for the secondary nic for the client (win2000 in this case). IE.

192.168.4.23 primary primary.com
192.168.4.23 secondary secondary.com
192.168.4.16 win2000 win2000.com

Hope this is helpful to you,

CF
