I have an Access 2000 database that I need to upsize to SQL server. I have tried this two ways and neither have been successful.
The first way was to try to import it through the Enterprise Manager, but when I do this it tells me that the workgroup information file is missing.
If I use the Upsizing Wizard in Access 2000, it copies the tables but no data, even though the settings are such that everything should get copied. The database server isn't currently being used, so I was wondering if it was worth my time to completely start over and reinstall everything.
I have tried this with two different workstations (exporting to SQL) and got the same results. I tried it at home with the personal edition and it worked beautifully. The SQL Server at work has all the service packs installed and whatever updates Windows Update says it needs.
The server was set up by someone who no longer works here so I wasn't the one to set it up. Any suggestions? Thank you.
