IP Office 500 8.1. I have tried following posts from others regarding this but still cannot make it happen. The phone is a 9608. It appears the call will hit on call server...I had the provider monitor the call and he said he saw it landing on port 1720 of the public ip address which I have been told has been opened and forwarded to the call server. There is a procedure called STUN. Could you tell me how that works and do I need to do this? Can I monitor this to see where it is breaking down. I was told to monitor packets. I thought that this would be easy. :)

STUN is simple traversal of UDP Over Network. Put a STUN server IP address in your IP Office and your IP Office will bugger off and report back on what type of firewall it's experiencing.
PORT 3478 SIP UDP Port used for STUN requests from the IP Office to the SIP provider.

Use a VPN connection on the 9608s instead of remote worker.

I'm clear but my fighter is down.
