I am using Access 2002 SP3 on MS XP Pro.

My database table contains an OLE field into which I would like to place links to .wmf files.

My report is to use the OLE field to display the .wmf image(NOT the link or icon). To do this, I've placed in my report a bound object frame that links to the OLE object containing the image for a particular record.

I have tried a number of variations and nothing seems to work. The only way I was able to get the image to come up in my report was to first import the insert the .wmf into an MS Word doc and then copy/paste the image into my table.

There's got to be a more elegant way to do this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Create a field in your table called IamgePath.
For each record enter the filepath to the image location in the ImagePath field.
In your report add an unbound image object, then when the report opens set the Picture property of the image object to the ImagePath field value of that record.

Hope this helps.

cghoga,

Thanks for your input. I'm afraid, however, I don't see how to aply your solution.

I created the text field in my table.

To my table, I added the image path and file name of the illustration for each record. (In the form "C:\...\WMF\illustfile.wmf")

When I edit my report to insert an unbound object, I am not sure how to proceed.

The dialogue "forces" me to select a path and file explicitly. When I go back to modify the properties as you suggested, I don't know how to do what you suggested.

Would you please provide more detailed instruction?

Thanks.
