Hi!

I'm trying to place a Editable .eps I've made in Freehand. It's a logotype and first i Save it from Freehand to my desktop as a editable .eps and when I try to place it in pagemaker a white box appear behind the logotype ...

The white background square is not behind the logotype in freehand, only if I want to place the logotype in pagemaker?

Someone who know?
(I try the same on a friends mac and there's no problem placing the logotype ... Why is it so on my PC?!)

You can rotate the graphic 0.01 degree and the white box should disappear. This is a quirk with PM. The EPS graphic will print properly, regardless, assuming of course that you are printing to a PS Printer. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.

You are not looking at the EPS image in PM, just a bitmap preview which inherently has a white box. I'm not looking at Freehand right now but Illustrator 8 or above allows you the option of transparent background in EPS previews. This is found in the save dialog.

jimoblak,

Even though you are correct, you can view the preview image as transparent witht helittle trick I posted. Try it sometime.

Also, PM sometimes does not like to work with AI9 or above files... for best results save back to AI8 if possible. his is especially true if you have are experiencing problems. When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
